3. Beta 版使用独立的安装包、应用标识和更新通道，可以与正式版同时安装；
4. Beta 版的“检查更新”默认只检查后续 Beta 版本，不会自动切换到正式版；
5. 如需返回正式版，可以通过 Beta 版中的“安装稳定版”功能进行安装；
6. Beta 版可能存在未经充分验证的问题，不建议用于重要或不可恢复的生产环境；

2. About the Beta Release

To keep pace with new DeepSeek Harness upstream releases and validate new features and compatibility improvements earlier, we have introduced a dedicated DSH Desktop Beta distribution channel.

1. Beta releases will receive priority support for new DeepSeek Harness upstream versions, including prerelease versions.
2. Some new features, experience improvements, and compatibility updates will be introduced in the Beta version first.
3. The Beta version uses a separate installer, application identifier, and update channel, allowing it to be installed alongside the stable version.
4. The Beta version’s Check for Updates feature only checks for subsequent Beta releases by default and will not automatically switch to the stable version.
5. To return to the stable version, use the Install Stable Version option in the Beta application.
6. Beta releases may contain issues that have not been fully tested and are not recommended for important or non-recoverable production environments.

2. 增如果同一个profile先后被稳定版和beta版加载，会出现警告。

• macOS：打开新的 DMG，将 DSH Desktop 拖入“应用程序”并替换旧版本
• Windows：运行新的安装程序并按提示完成安装

1. The stable and Beta versions can be installed side by side, but they share the same data and configuration.
2. A warning will appear if the same Profile is loaded by both the stable and Beta versions.

We recommend creating a new profile first, then restarting the app and using the new profile.If an older profile still does not work, we recommend deleting the unusable profile. Before doing so, open a terminal and run dsh plugin list to review and copy the list of installed plugins, then proceed with deletion. Your conversation messages will be preserved, but installed plugins will not.
2. Plugin Marketplace: Choose which plugin marketplace to enable in the desktop app. Only one marketplace is loaded at a time.
3. Desktop Appearance & Behavior: Choose between the upstream-compatible mode and the enhanced desktop layout.
4. Desktop Notifications: Choose when DSH Desktop sends system notifications. Notifications do not include conversation content. (Not recommended for use together with other notification plugins.)

1.如果因为插件或大模型自行执行了错误的操作导致客户端崩溃，可以使用回滚和恢复助手来修复。
2.恢复助手可以解决大部分插件的问题，但是不能解决某些极度不符合软件开发规范（如直接改环境文件）的软件引发的问题。

5. Rollback and Recovery Assistant

1. If the client crashes because a plugin or an AI model performs an incorrect operation, you can use the Rollback and Recovery Assistant to repair it.
2. The Recovery Assistant can resolve most plugin-related issues. However, it cannot fix issues caused by software that severely violates standard development practices, such as directly modifying environment files.

Upgrade Instructions

Upgrading from v0.1.0

Download the appropriate v2.0.1 installer for your platform:

• macOS: Open the new DMG, drag DSH Desktop into the Applications folder, and replace the previous version.
• Windows: Run the new installer and follow the on-screen instructions.

Upgrading from v2.0.0

Right-click the application icon in the system tray and select the update option.

We recommend closing the currently running version of DSH Desktop before upgrading.
